The Full Day Foundation 3 – Pathfinders class offers extended hours of instruction and care, providing students with the opportunity for enhanced learning experiences.

Goals for Our Foundations 3 – Pathfinders (Ages 3-5):
- Ensure that each Pathfinder knows and feels that they are an important member of our community.
- Improve language skills and vocabulary, including bilingual education in French and Spanish.
- Develop social skills and emotional intelligence through interactive play and group experiences.
- Foster physical development through gross motor activities and mindful movement practices.
- Enhance cognitive development through inquiry-based activities and critical thinking tasks.
- Improve fine motor skills through hands-on activities and manipulation of objects.
- Support and promote a positive self-concept through inclusive and supportive learning experiences.
- Encourage creativity and self-expression through visual and performing arts activities.

Foundations 3 – Pathfinders to Foundations 4 – Emerging Leaders Class: Identifying Readiness & Key Indicators
Social & Emotional:
- Demonstrates empathy for others and shows understanding of different emotions
- Works well in a group and cooperates with peers
- Expresses opinions and ideas effectively
- Uses language to resolve conflicts and negotiate with peers
- Demonstrates confidence and independence
- Shows interest in books, stories, and information about the world
Language & Communication:
- Uses 5 or more word sentences when speaking
- Asks open-ended questions and clarifies information with others
- Uses descriptive language to express experiences and thoughts
- Enjoys rhyming and creative writing
- Can follow and understand more complex rules in group games and activities
Cognitive:
- Completes puzzles with 5 or more pieces
- Can count to 20 or higher
- Can recognize and match patterns

Movement & Physical Development:

These are just a few of the many indicators that a child in Foundations 3 – Pathfinders class may be prepared for the next level, Foundations 4 – Emerging Leaders. It’s important to remember that every child develops at their own pace.

Arrival Time: Up to 9:30 AM
*Arrival Time – For an interruption-free learning environment, students must arrive in the classroom by 9:30 a.m. Late arrival will be marked as absence. If a student has an appointment, please inform the teacher beforehand to accommodate their needs and minimize disruption to the class.
