Senior Educator/Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the classroom.
• Supervise and coordinate staff, trainees, and volunteers.
• Assist in onboarding and training of new employees.
• Knowledge of BC Daycare and Licensing regulations.
• Develop and implement childcare programs that support and promote the
  physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
• Create care plans or behavioural strategies when required.
• Maintain daycare equipment; order supplies and equipment as required.
• Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and
  well-being of children.
• Provide staff meetings and professional development opportunities for the team.
• Yoga experience or knowledge is an asset.
• Knowledge of French, Spanish, and Sign Language is an asset.

Qualifications

• Valid BC Early Childhood Educator License.
• Valid Emergency Childcare First Aid certificate that meets the requirements
  of BC childcare license regulations.
• Managing staff and computer skills.
• Minimum of two work-related reference checks.
• Clean criminal record check.
• Doctor’s note and immunization records.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination.

In addition to the above requirements, we are looking for candidates who have
2–3 years of experience as an Early Childhood Educator, strong leadership skills,
and a passion for teaching children.
