Senior Educator/Manager Preschool & Out of School Care

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the classroom.
• Supervise and coordinate staff, trainees, and volunteers.
• Assist in onboarding and training of new employees.
• Develop and implement childcare programs that support and promote the
  physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
• Maintain daycare equipment; order supplies and equipment as required.
• Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and
  well-being of children.
• Knowledge of BC Daycare and Licensing regulations.
• Utilize strong computer skills for lesson planning, parent communication,
  and use of childcare software applications to track student milestones and development.
• Walking students to and from the local elementary school.
• Provide staff meetings and professional development opportunities for the team.
• Yoga experience or knowledge is an asset.
• Knowledge of French, Spanish, and Sign Language is an asset.

Qualifications

• Valid BC Early Childhood Educator License.
• Valid Emergency Childcare First Aid certificate that meets the requirements
  of BC childcare license regulations.
• 2–3 years of experience as an Early Childhood Educator.
• At least 1 year of experience managing staff and working in a leadership role.
• Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office, Google Drive,
  and childcare software applications.
• Passion for teaching children.
